Help with events, posters, tickets, and deleting your data.
Quick fixes
- Scanned a poster and nothing happens: the link is a web page. Open it in Safari or Chrome, allow the camera when asked, and take the photo there. There is no app for guests.
- "This event isn't taking photos right now": the host ended the event, or hasn't started it yet. Ask them.
- My photo isn't in the album: at events that hold photos for review, the host keeps or rejects each one. The album shows the ones they kept, after the event ends.
- Tickets or Pro: in the app, You → Settings has Restore tickets; Pro is managed under your Apple ID subscriptions.
Delete your account and your data
In the app: You → Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. That wipes the app on your iPhone and removes your account, your backed-up memories, your event memberships, and the photos you added to events from our servers. Events you hosted are deleted for everyone in them.
Report abuse or a photo
Inside an event, use Report on a photo or on the event itself. Reports reach us with the event and the photo attached; the host can also end an event at once. For anything urgent, email us with the event's name.
How it works
A host creates an event in the app and puts the poster up. Guests scan it, take a photo in the browser, and it's added to the event with the song that was playing. When the host ends the event, the film cuts itself, and the poster link shows the film and the album to everyone who added a photo.
- Do guests need the app? No. Guests never install anything and never pay.
- What does the host pay? The first event is free. Every event after that is one ticket, bought in the app.
- Do photos come back to guests' phones? No. Guests get the film and the album at the poster link. The return, a photo coming back when its song plays in Apple Music, is for the host with the app.
- Is this a livestream? No. Aftersong does not show four hundred live cameras.
What Aftersong is
The event camera where the song that was playing brings the photo back. Every photo at an event keeps the song that was playing, the event ends as a film, and for the host, playing one of those songs again in Apple Music brings the photo back. How it works.
